Welcome to the page for class 4. 

Our class is a mixed year class with both year 5 and year 6 pupils. The class is taught by Mrs Richardson and each morning we have a teaching assistant to help support the children’s learning.

Summer Term To Come!

During the summer term will be learning all around the topic of ‘Our Great Britain’. Looking at foods across the UK in DT, landscapes of our local area in Art, the history of Greenhalgh Castle in History and the works of William Shakespeare in English just to name a few. 

 

It will be a busy few months as the summer term always is, with lots of exciting things planned. Trips to Towerwood and London, preforming the Y6 Leavers’ play and lots of sports and competitions on they way, we are sure to have a jam-packed, fun-filled term! 

Spring Term was a busy one!

Over the Spring term, we have covered so much learning around the topic of ‘The Great Study of China’ where the class have delved into the world of The Shang Dynasty, starting the term with a visit from One Day Creative Ltd who immersed us in the life of The Shang Dynasty and also delivered a Chinese Ribbon Dance class. 

Looking at many aspects of China, the children have finished the term with a wealth of knowledge from China today, stories from China, the history of China and Chinese art just to name a few.  

Autumn Term Fun!

Our Autumn topic based around ‘Law Breakers’ was a huge success and the children were immersed into the history of crime and punishment though Topic, Art, English and more. We had a crime scene in the classroom, created our own outlaws, made a collaborative piece of graffiti art (which can be found on display in our school hall), enjoyed a day in an escape room, and much more!
