About Us

Nateby Primary School is located in a beautiful setting on the outskirts of Garstang, only 1 mile from the A6 & The Bellflower Restaurant. The school was extended in 2006 to accommodate 3 classes of around 27 children each. We have recently completed the renovation of the front aspect of the school. Additionally we have also installed a new pre-school / early years outdoor play area at the rear of the school over looking open countryside; invested in new ICT with a school set of netbooks, wireless connection throughout and new ICT in our hall for assemblies and performances. We have continued to invest in the latest equipment this year to support a creative and exciting curriculum. Pupils in Years 2-6 learn to play the keyboard in a weekly music lesson. Swimming lessons are also provided weekly. We run an annual residential trip to Tower Wood for children in years 4, 5 and 6; an additional day’s visit for years 2,3 and 4,5,6.

We believe that learning should be fun. Lessons are planned to give children a real sense of the subject, to meet their immediate learning needs; to be interesting and exciting.

We aim to provide a stimulating and exciting curriculum for all pupils without sacrificing high standards. Our last OFSTED rated us as outstanding in every area, since then we have been told by OFSTED with our results as they are we remain an outstanding school.

We run school clubs on-site every morning from 8-8.50am and after school until 5pm. We aim to provide something for everyone for example: art club, mindfulness, netball, golf, gym, dance, cooking, sports, language club. School teams include: football, netball, swimming, rounders, athletics.

Our school is very much part of the community we have a very active, friendly parent/ teacher association organising numerous community and fund-raising events.

We are very proud of our school and would love to show you around. Ring our office and make an appointment!
