Pre-School Children – Get ready for school!

Welcome
Primary schools find out in April which children will be joining them in the following September. We can’t wait to meet our new Reception children and their families!
To help children settle in, we run a series of morning sessions across the summer term to gently introduce them to school life. These usually begin with a stay and play session with parents, followed by morning sessions, and then sessions where children stay for lunch.
Weather permitting, we also hope to hold a picnic, inviting all our new Reception children and their families to join us. This is a lovely opportunity for everyone to get to know one another in a relaxed setting.
We also hold an induction session for parents, where we explain school routines and expectations, answer any questions, take a look at our school uniform, and share our welcome pack, which is full of helpful guidance to support you and your child as they prepare to start school.
All of these arrangements will be shared closer to the time with families who have requested a place. These sessions play an important role in helping children feel happy and confident when they start school in September.
If you have been offered a place at Nateby, we will send you an invitation to take part in these sessions.
