Dinner Menu, Fruit and Milk
School Dinners
We are very lucky to have a fantastic cook – Mrs Lopez-Garcia cooking in our fully-equipped kitchen. She is dedicated to making sure pupils enjoy the food they eat and ensures every meal is nutritionally balanced and that there is a daily salad bar with fresh fruit and vegetables for children to choose from. She also bakes fresh bread every day. Each day, the children have 3 main meal options and a choice of desserts. The children decide what they would like to eat on a half termly basis (via ParentPay) however, if your child wishes to change their option at any time all they need do is speak to the school office. The teachers all have school dinners from the kitchen too so that shows how good they are!
We have a ‘5’ rating for hygiene from The Food Standards Agency.

Milk
Nateby primary school have a milk scheme in place. If you would like to enrol your child, please see attachment above.
Fruit
All pupils in Key Stage One are entitled to a piece of fruit as provided by the Government Fruit Scheme. However, we feel that as part of our healthy schools ethos all pupils should have the opportunity to enjoy a piece of fruit each day and so school purchases fruit for pupils in key stage two as well.
Free School Meals
Free school meals provide nutritious food at school, ease financial pressure on families, and are linked to better attendance and learning outcomes. All children in Reception, year 1 and year 2 are entitled to free school meals regardless of family income and those in Key Stage 2 may be eligible.
